“The award demonstrates our commitment to the finest English ingredients including local barley malted just two miles from the brewery and water from the chalk wells below the brew house in historic Bury St Edmunds. We use only the best hops – which provide those fantastic flavours and aromas, and our own very special yeast cultures that go back generations – possibly to 1799 when Greene King’s founder Benjamin Greene first started brewing his fine ale.”
